Digital X-Rays 

Dr. Beck has invested in digital imaging which enables faster, more precise diagnosing and treating from the previous method of x-rays. A small sensor is placed into the mouth and then exposed to a small amount of radiation, more than 50% less than traditional x-rays. The image is then projected onto a screen in the operatory, allowing both doctor and patient to see. This allows for more precision since the image is being viewed on a computer monitor rather than holding the film up to a light. Digital x-rays are, therefore, safer, more convenient, and better for diagnostic purposes.

DIAGNOdent successfully identifies decay on the tooth’s biting surface, and x-rays find cavities between the teeth and on the roots.
